Let's experiment. Take the pen and a notebook. Write down your actions during a day which was done according to your desires and according to desires of others.

If you have enough patience, try to write down this data during a week. After this experiment the majority of people will find out, that they devote ninety percent of the time to fulfillment of other's desires. It means, that their life for ninety percent belongs to other people so they do not have time to fulfill their own desires. Only granting you own wishes the person becomes happy, so the majority of people can never be happy.
